International Student Office

The international student office was established on April 13, 2012 within the rectorate of Giresun University in order to guide and assist all prospective foreign students who are planning to apply to our university in order to receive education with their undergraduate and graduate students who continue to study at our university.

Our goals:

The primary aim of the International Student office is to ensure that the foreign students who are studying at our university have a pleasant learning period and to support the foreign students who wish to study at our university during the application process. By organizing social activities, we aim to enable our students to return to their countries with good memories and attract more foreign students to our university.

Our duties:

• To inform all foreign students coming to our university via our website,
• Preparing and distributing brochures and booklets that contain the necessary information for students,
• Providing information to foreign students about campus, housing and health services,
• Preparing and organizing the orientation program for foreign students who have newly registered to our university,
• Guide foreign students during the first residence permit application process,
• Organizing events by determining the days that will be meaningful for foreign students,
• To support foreign students to produce solutions in line with their wishes and needs,
• Preparing and organizing social activities for foreign students that introduce the culture of our country,
• To assist foreign students through the personnel responsible for foreign students in faculties, institutes and schools,
• To establish a foreign student community in order to facilitate communication between foreign students.
