Candidates Whose Applications Will Be Accepted;

Candidates who will apply:
a) Provided that they are in the final year of high school or have graduated;

1) Foreign nationals,

2) Those who were Turkish citizens by birth and received permission from the Ministry of Interior to relinquish Turkish citizenship, and those who document that they have a Document Regarding the Use of Granted Rights received under the Turkish Citizenship Law for their underage children registered in the relinquishment document (Blue Card), and those who acquired Turkish citizenship while being foreign nationals, and those who have dual citizenship whose first citizenship is Turkish,
Note: (Article 7 of the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901 states that “(1) A child born to a Turkish mother or father in marriage in or outside Turkey is a Turkish citizen.” It would be beneficial for candidates who will apply for the quotas for admission from abroad to review the Turkish Citizenship Law.)

*a) Among the Turkish nationals who continued their secondary education abroad before 01/02/2013, those who completed the last three years of their secondary education (high school) in the K.K.T.C. (including those who completed their entire secondary education (high school) in a foreign country other than K.K.T.C. (those who completed their secondary education (high school) in Turkish schools opened by the Ministry of National Education in a foreign country other than K.K.T.C.),
*(b) Turkish national candidates who started their secondary education abroad after 01/02/2013, those who completed their entire secondary education (high school) in a foreign country other than K.K.T.C. (those who completed their secondary education (high school) in Turkish schools opened by the Ministry of National Education in a foreign country other than K.K.T.C.),
3) K.K.T.C.citizens; Those who reside in the K.K.T.C. and have completed their secondary education (high school) in the K.K.T.C. and have GCE-AL exam results, and those who have or will have GCE-AL exam results by enrolling and receiving education in colleges and high schools in other countries between 2005-2010,

DOCUMENTS TO BE UPLOADED TO THE SYSTEM DURING APPLICATION:

1- Passport photo,
2- Passport / ID, (Those who have a Residence Card will upload their Residence Card.)
- Dual nationals, one of whose nationality is Turkish, and Blue Card holder candidates must upload a “Certified Population Registration Copy” showing the mother and father's records. Blue Card holder candidates must also upload their Blue Card or Citizenship Exit Permit Documents to the system.
3- High School Diploma, (For candidates who are in the last year of high school, student certificate and transcript indicating that they can graduate.)
- Translation of High School Diploma, (Turkish or English) (Except for candidates who graduated from Turkish high schools)
4- Exam Result Document, (Valid exam result document to be used for application --> (such as TR-YÖS, SAT 1, GCE, ACT, TAWJIHI etc.)
5- Turkish Language Certificate (C1), (Candidates who cannot certify this document are required to attend the Turkish Exemption Exam to be held)
6- Transcript, (High school grade transcript document)
- Transcript Translation, (Turkish or English) (Except for candidates who graduated from Turkish high schools)
7- Country Entry - Exit Document (For those who are Turkish and have dual nationality (Turkish and others), passport information approved by the embassy / consulate for the high school period)

* Applications made in person or via e-mail will not be accepted.
* Information must be entered into the system without errors, documents must be read and fully operated, and changes cannot be made to information and preferences. (Only one application can be made each day. If it is determined that more than one application has been made, both applications will not be evaluated.)
* Applications of candidates who are found to have made incomplete or false statements will not be evaluated.
* Original documents and continuity will be requested during registration.
* Candidates' own statements regarding whether they have provided the applications or not cannot be taken into consideration during applications. Even if the application conditions are violated and candidates who apply and prefer by making false statements are placed, this situation will not provide them with any rights.
*Students are accepted to higher education programs that require special talents and skills (<<See>>) with the Special Talent Exam System. Students must be ready for the exam that you have announced on our internet homepage after the programs that accept students with the Special Talent Exam and the international events in Kabul, on the dates announced in the Application Calendar. Placements to department programs that accept students with the special talent exam are decided by the commissions formed by the relevant unit. If they are successful in the number of special talent exams, they will gain the right to final registration.
* Acceptance letters will be issued to candidates who gain the right to register. Candidates can use this document to apply for a visa from Turkish foreign missions in their countries, and those in Türkiye can use it to obtain a residence permit from Giresun Provincial Directorate of Immigration Administration.
* The rules in this guide may be changed if the decisions of the Council of Higher Education that may be entered on the date the guide is published make it necessary.
* It has the authority to make changes to the specified dates and procedures. Changes are announced to candidates on the University's website one week in advance.
* If you are accepted to one of the Undergraduate and Associate Degree programs announced in our quotas, the department change will be changed and the registration process will be carried out in case of student admission in that department "according to the Turkey 2025-YKS (Higher Education Institutions Exam) Results".
* * Giresun University is free to fill or not fill the announced quotas. Meeting the application conditions does not require acceptance. The right to register is finalized with the approval of the Foreign Student Admission and Registration Commission. If approval is not given, the right to register does not arise.
